The Parent-Teacher Meeting
The Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) for Unit 1 was successfully conducted at our Vivero Ecoworld, with the primary aim of discussing the progress and development of students during the first unit of the academic year. The meeting provided an opportunity for teachers and parents to collaborate closely, ensuring the best outcomes for each child. The meeting commenced with a warm welcome by the class teacher, followed by an introduction to the key areas covered in Unit 1- “Who we are”, including language skills, basic numeracy, and social interaction activities. Parents were encouraged to provide feedback on their child’s experience so far, including any noticeable changes in behaviour, interest in learning, or challenges faced at home. This feedback was invaluable in tailoring future lesson plans to better meet the needs of each student. The PTM concluded with a positive note, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration between parents and teachers to nurture the holistic development of the children.
The childcare orientation program
The childcare orientation program was conducted on Sat, 6th July’24. It was designed to facilitate a smooth transition for children, parents, and staff into childcare environment. The program aims to create a welcoming, supportive, and educational atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and eager to explore. Our comprehensive orientation program ensured that everyone involved understands the centre routines, policies, and educational philosophy.

It was a heartfelt occasion to express gratitude for the unwavering support and affection of our loved ones. It was a day to reflect on the bonds that complete us and make our hearts full, celebrating the ties that bind us all.
Christmas Celebration
The children were absolutely delighted to unleash their creativity, making their own unique Christmas cards. Dressed in their favourite festive attire, they also enjoyed playing musical chairs and dancing to the lively tunes of ‘Jingle Bells’.
The excitement was palpable as they enjoyed a scrumptious potluck party with their friends and peers. The joy and laughter filled the air, making this Christmas celebration an unforgettable experience for all!
Daddy’s day out
Daddy’s Day Out” at Vivero Whitefield school was an action-packed day crafted for dads!
Our K2 & K2 children prepared wonderful dance performances to let our dear daddy’s know how much they love them. It was an event to let them enjoy quality time together, participate in exciting games and create unforgettable memories.
Halloween
Young children learn that Halloween is just for fun and that all of the scary things are pretend. With support, children can learn to manage their reactions to emotions and fear.
Probably the most exciting part of Halloween for them is the costumes! Letting children use their imagination to come up with their costume at this peak pretending stage and dressing up as a character teaches them how to role play. Pretend play helps children learn how to be creative and flexible; an important life skill for their future.
When they join other children during trick-or-treating, it helps them develop valuable social and emotional skills. They learn how to work with others which will be important as they go through school.
Much appreciation and a huge thank you to our hosting parents who made so much effort to decorate their homes, arrange for Halloween
treats and fabulous games and activities and most importantly, opening their homes up to their childs classmates !
Energy Influences Our Lives and Environment
As part of their new unit, “Energy influences our lives and environment,” Kindergarten 2 children embarked on a sunlight scavenger hunt around the school. Their exploration sparked a fascination with shadows, leading to creative shadow art and a deeper understanding of why our body shadows are dark.
Children also discovered how coloured panels create vibrant coloured shadows, making for a fun and enriching learning experience.
Loris Malaguzzi & Math Day
Loris Malaguzzi was born on February 23, 1920, in the town of Correggio, Italy. He became a teacher, but his greatest impact on education began in the aftermath of World War II. During this time, the people of Reggio Emilia, a city in northern Italy, were determined to rebuild—not just their homes and schools, but a better future for their children. Malaguzzi saw an opportunity to revolutionize education by creating a system that honoured children’s voices, creativity, and innate abilities. He worked with parents and educators to develop an entirely new way of thinking about learning—one that didn’t rely on rigid curriculums but instead embraced exploration, collaboration, and self-expression.
We celebrated Loris Malguzzi Day at school on 24th Feb 2025, which encompassed different aspects of Math. Teachers had set up various stations of Math concepts in a progressive order from Pre Nursery to K2. All our children were invited to explore all the stations where the Nursery, K1 and K2 children mentored their peers to understand the various concepts of Math, reasoning and problem solving.
It was a day full of learning and exploration which every child enjoyed thoroughly.
Visit to the Science Museum!
At Vivero, we believe in experiential learning to help children explore and understand new concepts. Field trips are always fun and offer the best way to learn! Our K2 children had an exciting visit to the Science Museum, where they explored energy types like solar, wind, kinetic, and mechanical through hands-on exhibits and activities.
They also enjoyed two engaging shows:
Planetarium Show – A journey through the solar system.
3D Show – Exploring animals and their habitats.
It was a day filled with curiosity, discovery, and lots of learning
Field Trip to the Science Park
As part of our ongoing unit, we collaborated with our Aundh school to take our children on an exciting field trip to the Science Park. This enriching experience exposed them to a wide range of interactive resources, stimulating their curiosity and encouraging them to think creatively. The children were thrilled to explore various exhibits on space, energy, and science, all under one roof. The 3D show was a highlight of their visit, leaving them with an unforgettable experience.
